Custom Rock Work in Sanford, ME
Rock work is where excavation becomes something you look at every day. Granite steps, boulder retaining walls, and natural stone patios do their real work underground: base, drainage, and placement decide whether stone stays where it was set.
What's included
What we handle
- Granite slab steps and stone staircases
- Fieldstone and boulder retaining walls
- Natural flagstone patios and walkways
- Stone shoreline and slope stabilization
- Fire pits and landscape boulder placement
Why it matters
The part you can't see
Every wall we build is also a drainage project. Water trapped behind a wall in a Maine winter becomes ice, and ice moves stone. We build with the freeze in mind: drainage stone behind walls, bases cut below topsoil, and each boulder seated so gravity is working for the wall instead of against it.
Set once, set right
Stone placed by machine and checked by eye, seated so it doesn't walk after the first winter.
Drainage built in
Clean stone and relief behind every wall, because water is the thing that actually moves rock.
Real Maine stone
Granite and fieldstone that look like they belong on the property, because they do.
